Phil Scaife

Dale

Philip was born in Beverley, and apart from a brief spell in Hull, has lived in the East Riding for all his life.

After leaving school in 1987 Philip worked for British Aerospace in Brough (now BAE Systems) for 13yrs, then due to redundancy he secured a job with EYMS as a driver and will be remembered for driving the 155 and X55 Petuaria Express out of the Elloughton depot. In recent years he has been in the engineering sector.

Philip’s interests include science fiction; reading and maintaining his classic cars and supporting a Historic Vehicle Club. He also volunteers at a local branch of a national charity to help rehabilitate and re-home retired greyhounds.

Philip’s interest in politics and the local community led him to being elected as an Elloughton-cum-Brough Town Councillor where he strove to maintain the heritage of the town’s history whilst looking to incorporate fresh ideas to satisfy future requirements.

If elected to ERYC on Thursday 2nd May Philip hopes this sound basis will provide a solid footing for Ward Councillor duties. He hopes to continue to build on the good work Cllr Tony Galbraith has accomplished since 2007.
